This Pole Dance Problem illustration is inspired by my fellow pole sister who recently went to a regular gym and forgot to bring a shirt.
Having been a pole studio rat (like a gym rat but yanno with pole?) it’s easy to forget that your polewear does not apply for almost all other types of physical activity. Maybe bickram yoga…but even then it’s hard to find those itty bitty gutted fold bearing shorts and all those cute scrappy sports bras. Polers love strappy. The one time forgetting the right clothes was when my friend invited me to the gym for an impromptu swim – pole clothes is perfect for that!
Pole Dance Problems (PDP) is an comedic illustration series for pole dancers who face a unique set of problems both on the pole and off. They are often painful, embarrassing but more than not they make us happy and proud to be a pole dancer.

My Favorite Things to do When Uninspired
Pole dance is a difficult hobby to maintain. We won’t always be at the top of our game. We can’t always think of new ways to transition into familiar tricks. We don’t always feel strong or sexy or bendy. Sometimes we hit a wall. And when that happens, it’s frustrating.
